The Campbell County Health (CCH) Board of Trustees approved the 2022-2024 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) at a Special Board meeting on June 7, 2022.
“Healthcare organizations across the country are increasingly being called upon to help support the priorities identified in their communities and states,” said Matt Shahan, CEO. “The health issues in this document are closely aligned with what we know are concerns both locally and in Wyoming. We see this as an opportunity to work collaboratively with other agencies, groups and organizations to make tangible improvements in community health.”
CCH Senior leadership discussed the findings from the review of the data collected to recommend these health issues for the 2022-2024 CHNA:
- Behavioral Health
- Access to care
- Behavioral health—substance abuse disorder
- Behavioral health—suicide prevention
- Chronic diseases and conditions
The CHNA is conducted every three years in collaboration with other healthcare providers and community organizations to identify significant community health needs and to help inform the development of an implementation strategy to address the identified needs.
“This document is a great reference for our strategic planning process,” said Alan Stuber, Vice Chair of the CCH Board of Trustees. “It really gives the Board some clear guidance on where we can make the greatest impact with the resources CCH can bring to the table.”
The full CHNA is posted on the CCH website, cchwyo.org, or available in CCH Administration. Next steps will include the development of specific implementation strategies to address the identified community health priorities by October 2022.
