Town of Sundance recently issued the following announcement.
2022 RECYCLING PROGRAM.
All recycling is processed at the City’s recycling center located at the Transfer Station during hours of operation.The Transfer Station is located at 511 Industrial Avenue. Ph. 283-3498.
DO NOT PUT RECYCLING IN THE COMMERCIAL CARDBOARD DUMPSTERS. THEY ARE FOR THE BUSINESS’S THAT PAY FOR THAT SERVICE. AND ARE FOR CORRUGATED CARDBOARD ONLY
City of Sundance customers who have Route pick-up please have your recycling at the curb early Thursday morning.
Sundance Recycling Guidelines:
Put recycling in a blue or clear recycling bag. DO NOT USE WHITE GARBAGE BAGS.
Plastic containers that have a chasing arrow recycle symbol, glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans can be put in the same bag. ALL ITEMS MUST BE RINSED, OR EMPTIED.
PAPER: NEWSPRINT ONLY NEEDS T0 BE IN A SEPARATE BAG.
NO OFFICE OR SHREDDED PAPER, NO MAGAZINES.
NO GLOSSY PRINTED PAPERBOARD. NO CEREAL BOXES, BEER
SODA OR PIZZA BOXES. NO FOOD CONTAINERS.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD BOXES ONLY.
PLEASE REMOVE ALL TAPE AND FLATTEN ALL BOXES.
NO GROCERY BAGS, OR WOOD PELLET BAGS.
Green waste route pickup runs when weather is suitable. Most generally May through October. Have your green waste container available on Tuesday morning for Route pickup. Please do not put large branches in the can. All compost must be loose. Do not put compost in bags for disposal.
