Nathan Hall, CCH Director of Support Services, was recently elected President of the Wyoming Society of Healthcare Engineering (WSHE). WSHE is an organization dedicated to presenting educational opportunities to promote safety and compliance for healthcare facilities in Wyoming. WSHE is part of the larger American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), whose membership consists of healthcare facility managers, engineers, architects, designers, constructors, infection control specialists, and others. WSHE and ASHE members are dedicated to enhancing the physical healthcare environment.
Nathan has been in healthcare for 25 years and involved with ASHE for over 20 years.
“It’s an honor to be elected to the presidency of the Wyoming Society of Healthcare Engineering,” said Hall. “I’m very excited to continue to grow.”
Originally from South Dakota, Nathan has had a well-traveled career. He served in the Navy for 20 years, which took him all over the country. He has worked in long-term care facilities, public school systems, and, most recently, in hospitals. Nathan oversaw 3 million square feet of buildings across 19 schools in Atlanta at one point. A key theme in Nathan’s career has been utilizing his skills to serve others best. One of Nathan’s earliest experiences that sparked his passion for helping others was working at a monastery.
“I worked at a monastery and loved it,” said Hall. “ I really enjoyed taking care of people and helping them.”
Nathan has been with CCH for two and a half years. He was searching for a role at a larger healthcare facility so he could continue growing, as he has always had a mindset of continuous growth and setting personal and professional goals for himself. During his search, Nathan also sought a facility in a community where he could see himself retiring.
“The size of this community, what we have in this community, the people, this hospital – I knew it was my fit,” said Hall.
Outside of work, Nathan is very active within the community. Giving back to the community outside of work is essential to Nathan. He is a member of English Springer Spaniel Rescue, having fostered over 20 English Springer Spaniels and adopted five himself. Nathan is also a member of Journey with Equus, a horse rescue group based out of Colorado. Nathan is on the Boys and Girls Club Safety Committee, the Chamber of Commerce LEAD Committee, and was a board member for Energy Capital Habitat for Humanity. When not busy with work or volunteering in the community, he likes to hike, hunt, and fish.
