Town of Dayton recently issued the following announcement.

Are you a resident and registered voter in the Town of Dayton?  Are you passionate about local issues and helping your community?  If so, a seat on the Dayton Town Council may be right for you!

On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, there will be a General Election for the following seats:

Mayor with a 2-year term (term ending December 31, 2024)

Two Council seats with a 4-year term (term ending December 31, 2026)

Candidates run without party affiliation and there is no primary. Residents interested in running for Town Council must file all paperwork with the Rockingham County by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Town Manager, Angela Lawrence, hosted a pre-orientation session for anyone who may be interested in learning more about serving on Town Council.  The video is available here.
