Mayor Brown and The City of Buffalo to Join Cities Nationwide for National Night Out 2022
Mayor Byron W. Brown issued a reminder to City residents that on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, neighborhoods citywide are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “39th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the City of Buffalo, will involve over 16,400 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world.

Lois Reynolds will tell you that it’s so important to stay active, and never be afraid of trying something new. An elementary teacher for 43 years, Lois has experienced some health issues since her retirement several years ago. A bout with breast cancer, back and neck problems, and a knee replacement (that resulted in a stay in the Campbell County Health ICU), all meant that physical therapy would be a part of Lois’ long-term recovery plan.

Purchase Apparel, School Supplies Tax-Free During Texas Sales Tax Holiday Aug. 5-7, 2022
The Comptroller encourages all taxpayers to support Texas businesses while saving money on tax-free purchases of most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (sold for less than $100) during the annual Tax-Free weekend. Qualifying items can be purchased tax free from a Texas store or from an online or catalog seller doing business in Texas. In most cases, you do not need to give the seller an exemption certificate to buy qualifying items tax free.

Making his goals reality
Jayce Munoz will start his college career this fall at Eastern Wyoming College in the barbering college. The journey to EWC has not been easy for Munoz who dropped out of high school and left his home in Torrington for Denver, Colorado in 2016.
