Congresswoman Hageman will continue her work on the House Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees for the 119th Congress. Congressman Bruce Westerman has also announced that Hageman will take on leadership roles as Chair of the Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries and as a member of the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee. These positions will enable her to address significant issues for Wyoming, such as federal regulations on land use, energy production, and wildlife conservation.

"I am honored to serve on the Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees alongside Chairmen Westerman and Jordan," said Rep. Hageman. She added that she looks forward to collaborating with President Trump and her colleagues "to advance the will of the American people."

Hageman emphasized a focus on oversight: "Federal regulators who have overstepped their bounds should consider this their warning: serious oversight is coming their way." She stressed the importance of restoring accountability by reducing federal influence in favor of state power.

In Congress, committees are responsible for overseeing broad policy areas while subcommittees concentrate on specific issues within those areas. Members draft, debate, and amend bills in subcommittees before they move to the full committee and then to the House floor.
