Campbell County Health recently issued the following announcement.

Meet Ryan Garman, Occupational Therapy Assistant at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center (LLRC). Ryan has worked at Campbell County Health for ten years and has worked in the field of occupational therapy for over 21 years. She has an Associate degree in Science and Health Management, Occupational Therapy from North Dakota State College of Science.

When Ryan was a child she would often visit her grandfather when he was in the hospital; and always knew that she wanted to work in the medical field to help people–like those who helped her ‘Grandpa”. While in high school, Ryan watched the daughter of a family friend go through therapy due to a medical condition and observed how therapy services impacted the friend and improved her quality of life. This inspired Ryan to go into the field of occupational therapy.

When asked what she likes most about her work, Ryan said, “I think all the staff, whether they are from EVS, dietary, nurses, therapy or leadership truly care for the residents at The Legacy and want to provide the best care that we can and improve the residents’ quality of life”.

To Ryan, the residents at The Legacy become like family. Along with the rest of her team, who Ryan describes as ‘awesome’, it makes going to work on the hard days better and makes the good days great.

“The residents at The Legacy do start to feel like our own family members and I try to provide them care as if they were my own family members”, says Ryan, “Excellence Every Day to me is trying to make sure that the residents have the best day every day”.

When she’s not at work, Ryan, her husband and kids escape to their land in Montana on the weekends.

Thank you, Ryan, for helping to take great care of the residents at The Legacy. We appreciate all that you do.
