Today, Congress completed the constitutional process of certifying the 2024 election results. Donald J. Trump was officially recognized as President, with JD Vance serving as Vice President. This certification reflects the choice of nearly 80 million Americans.

Rep. Hageman expressed optimism about the country's future under Trump's leadership. She stated, "With President Trump at the helm, I am optimistic about the future of our nation." Hageman highlighted Trump's "unwavering commitment to restoring American greatness" and emphasized collaboration between Congress and the executive branch to enact a Republican agenda.

The certification process is a constitutionally mandated procedure that follows the Electoral College's vote in December. During a joint session of Congress, electoral votes are counted and certified, with the Vice President presiding over the proceedings.
