Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown announced today that the top of Buffalo City Hall will be illuminated in Bills colors tonight, Tuesday, January 3rd, in a show of support for Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin. He also asked members of the Buffalo Landmark Illumination Team (BuffaloLIT) to do the same. According to published reports, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field during last night’s Monday Night Football at Paycor Stadium. Mayor Brown stated, “Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Damar Hamlin, his family, and the Bills organization as we continue to watch and pray for his healing. Tonight, our entire community continues to come together as we light the City of Buffalo in Blue and Red in a continued show of support for Damar.” Damar Hamlin was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday morning at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Following his injury on the field, fans across the country have showed their support for him and his family by donating to his Chasing M’s Foundation fundraiser.
